Greek Shabbat Celebration Much More Than a Meal

On Friday, November 2 Hillel at UGA celebrated Jewish life on campus! At the end of the worst weeks our Jewish community has ever had, over 200 Jewish Greek students came together to celebrate and welcome Shabbat. Greek Shabbat was a lot more than just a meal- it was a statement, a loud and clear statement that Jewish people will always stand together against hate and antisemitism.m. We were excited to see so many people taking part in what was the biggest Shabbat gathering Hillel at UGA has ever had! What started as a planning meeting with all three Jewish Greek houses (AEPi, SDT, and TEP) turned into an amazing success.
